Source: http://www.thefourthperiod.com/news/ott090228.html - Citation :
- Senators GM Bryan Murray admitted that he's been involved in much trade talk as the deadline fast approaches, the Ottawa Sun reports.
"I'm getting a lot of calls," Murray told the paper.
Two players expected to be moved before Wednesday's 3pm ET trade deadline are forward Chris Neil and defenseman Filip Kuba.
Murray recently had a face-to-face meeting with Neil to try and get him signed to a new contract, but both sides appear to be far apart on salary.
According to the Sun, Neil is looking for a long-term deal worth around $2.5 million per season, while the Senators are believed to be offering $1.5 million.
"There have been no changes from either side with respect to their positions since negotiations began," Neil's agent, Todd Reynolds, told the Sun via email.
The Sun claims the San Jose Sharks, Boston Bruins, Detroit Red Wings, Montreal Canadiens, Edmonton Oilers and Pittsburgh Penguins are all interested in Neil, while it's also been reported that the Calgary Flames are also intrigued.
Kuba, meanwhile, has apparently attracted interest from the New Jersey Devils, Vancouver Canucks, Philadelphia Flyers and Minnesota Wild.
The Senators are also trying to unload defenseman Christoph Schubert, while teams are calling about defenseman Jason Smith and center Jason Spezza.

Faux.
